NSYF protested for age concession rights of SC/ST/OBC Youth in Sub Inspt. recruitment

Jammu,December 03(Scoop News)- Today educated unemployed youth and students of NSYF (National SC/ST/OBC Students and Youth Front) assembled at Ambedkar Chowk, JAMMU and protested & raised voices for restoration of Age concession for 5 years to SC, STs & 3 years to OBCs educated unemployed youth for the recruitment of Sub Inspectors which has been snatched, and clearance of pending backlog of 1.04 lakh of SC/ST & OBC for employment. They also raised the issue of not providing reservation in recruitment in Ayushmaan Bharat Jan Arogya Yojana & JKSRLM departments and for early disbursement of scholarship to the students, providing reservation in PhD in UT J&K.

The members also held placards and raised slogans like Clear 1.04 lakh backlog, Reservation bachao Desh Bachao, Restore Age Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC in recruitment etc.

On the occasion Sh RK Kalsotra, Patron of NSYF and state President Confederation, said that UT-Govt is finishing the provisions of reservation and their promises of 'Ache Din' for SC/ST/OBC is being proved to be false and only propaganda. He said to students and youth to hold and continue protests dharna till their demands are not fulfilled. Moreover, there should be fee concession for filling the forms for recruitment as per central govt norms. There is also issue of untimely disbursal of scholarships which becomes an issue for already vulnerable students.

Tarun Proch, leader NSYF, said that the educated youth of UT is being denied their rights of seeking employment. At the central level and various states as well, there is age relaxation of 5 years for SC/STs. This is being denied to us and is discriminatory.

Dr Jatinder, leader NSYF, further added that the advertisement of Home Department for Sub Inspector is discriminatory and should be called back. There is active backlog of 1.04 lakh which should be filled via recruitment drives.

Narinder Kumar, leader NSYF, said that the youth of J&K was promised certain rights but the facts state otherwise. The unemployment rates are all time high in J&K. On top of that the constitutional rights of vulnerable sections are being denied to them by the government.
