| Ajaz Kazmi demands regularization of all daily wagers in J&K | | Jammu, December 04(Scoop News)- President, Apni Trade Union, Ajaz Kazmi has urged Govt to regularize all the daily wagers in different Govt departments across J&K.
In a statement to the press, he urged the Govt to consider the issue of daily wagers on humanitarian ground and regularize all the daily wagers/contractual workers/ITI trained etc., in one go so that their long pending sufferings could be ended.
“These workers are the backbone of the department but despite that they have not been regularized from the last many decades,” he said. He appealed to the administrative department to frame the seniority of the casual workers on the same analogy as in Kashmir Province as well as in Jammu province.
“The LG administration to bestow justice on the daily wagers working in the different Govt departments and also release the ex- gratia relief as provisioned under various rules framed by the Govt in a time bound manner,” he said.
He said that their families are facing financial crises and they are not able to pay the fee of their schools.
It is therefore appealed to the Lt Governor to look into the issue so that the long pending demands can be addressed and the thousands of families can be given justice, he said.
