| Special program for women held at GDC Drass | | Kargil, September 28 (Scoop News)-Women Empowerment Cell, Govt. Degree College Drass, today organized a special program supported by the National Commission for Women and implemented by Tata Institute of Social Science with Police System. The program was held under the supervision of Principal Dr. Amjad Ali Abassi.
The program was started by Wahida Rehman Mir, Assistant Professor Geology who gave a brief introduction about the program and welcomed the chief speaker Haseena Batool and Khadim Hussain with traditional khataks.
Speaking on the session the speakers discussed gender-based violence in both public and private life and also tried to empower women by their precious talk and discussion.
A number of questions were answered and discussed by the speakers regarding harassment and molestation in public places. The session ended with vote of thanks presented by Kaneez Fatima, librarian.
