| ActinCEC Naqvi inspects ongoing developmental works in Drass | |
Kargil,December 03, (Scoop News)-Acting CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Mubarak Shah Naqvi, today inspected the ongoing developmental works of Industrial Estate and Sub District Hospital in Drass.
He was accompanied by SDM Drass, CMO Kargil, General Manager DIC Kargil, Executive Engineer R&B-II Division Kargil, Executive Engineer REW Kargil, AEE R&B Circle Drass, BMO Drass and other officers and officials of concerned departments.
During his visit to SDH Drass, the Acting CEC inspected the progress of construction works and other facilities in the hospital. He inspected different wards, sections and reviewed of healthcare facilities being provided to patients at the hospital.
During the visit, BMO Drass presented the requisition for gynecologist, pediatrician and for other specialists and requested for rationalization policy for medical officers of the district. EC Naqvi gave a patient hearing to the requests and directed CMO Kargil to fill the vacancies at the earliest.
Naqvi also inspected patient care facilities at the hospital like heating system, functioning of washrooms and electricity supply in different wards.
Regarding electricity in wards, BMO Drass requested for installation of another load feeder so that the hospital will have two load feeders. The old feeder will supply power for heating system for the hospital and the new one will supply power for lighting system.
For the installation of heating system, he directed the concerned department for calculation of load to ensure safety measures.
During the visit, Naqvi instructed the officers of concerned departments for work on ramp, restoration of central heating and overall renovation of the hospital. He also directed to install an overhead water tank.
In response to the request of NHM employees regarding their pending salaries, Naqvi assured early release of salary of all the employees.
EC Naqvi also visited Industrial Estate and took stock of ongoing developmental works. He also reviewed the total land area of Industrial Estate and directed SDM Drass for exact measurements and calculation of the land area.
GM DIC pointed out some important factors like repairing of approaching road, surrounding road, removal of bolder, levelling of land area and raising of boundary wall.
Naqvi directed the concerned department to prepare a revised DPR for completing these important factors of Industrial Estate Drass.
SVEEP awareness program for Special Summary Revision held at TSG block
Kargil, Dec 03, 2022: Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) awareness program for Special Summary Revision (SSR) of Photo Electoral Roll in collaboration with District Social Welfare Department Kargil was organized today at TSG block for specially-abled persons on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Every year, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities is celebrated on December 03 to highlight the issues that affect people with disabilities and to champion their well-being, their dignity and fundamental rights. The program was attended by more than 300 beneficiaries of the Social Welfare Department Kargil.
Deputy District Election Officer Khanzada Mohd Usman was the chief guest on the occasion. District Social Welfare Officer Kargil, Aga Syed Jamal, District SVEEP Nodal Officer, Ghulam Rasool, BMO Dr. Zakir Hussain, TSO Khairun Nissa, villagers and persons with disabilities attended the program.
The DDEO in his speech talked about the importance of being an informed voter and thanked participants for attending the program despite the cold weather. He further stressed on the importance of persons with disabilities.
He also thanked DSWO and SVEEP team for organizing such an awareness program for people in general and persons with disabilities in particular.
District SVEEP Nodal Officer Ghulam Rasool said that persons with disabilities must be aware of their fundamental rights. He further talked about various policies of the Government for the benefit of general public and specially-abled persons.
Earlier, the DSWO Kargil Aga Syed Jamal welcomed the chief guest and all the participants in the program. Interacting with the audience, he discussed the achievements of DSWO.
He said every deserving person will get the necessary benefits under all the government policies issued in the interest of persons with disabilities by the Government of India.
Anwar Hussain Core Member of the district SVEEP team conducted the program proceedings and concluded the program with vote of thanks.
