Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) in its core group meeting under the Chairmanship of its President Pt R K Bhat discussed various issues of the community how to reconnect their lost roots and identity. The meeting focused on the survival issues of the community youth, which would be ultimately the base of our resettlement back to our motherland.

The meeting thanks JK UT Government for appointing 41 teachers under PM’s employment package, whose cases were pending in waiting list in pursuance of relaxation of rules 14(7) of J&K recruitment rules 2010 Pt R K Bhat complimented Government for decision. He said it’s a matter of satisfaction and celebration that our previous struggle for 221 candidates gave more fruits today by appointing these 41 teachers against the reserved and unfilled quota.

While welcoming the Administrative Council (AC) meeting under the Chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha, to accord the sanction and approval of the re-allocation of 1997 number of unfilled supernumerary posts for recruitment of registered Kashmiri Migrants and non Migrants Kashmiri pundits, who are willing to serve in Kashmir Valley under Prime Minister’s package.

Pt R K Bhat appeals Lt. Governor Shri Manoj Sinha to take the cognizance of the issue of Left Over Candidates (LOC) who had applied under different Notifications in 2010, 2012, 2017 and so on, as they are ready to serve in Kashmir Valley. He said that these hapless candidates are fighting their struggle in court of law also. YAIKS said whosoever is ready to work in Kashmir valley under PM’s rehabilitation scheme should be provide jobs as per their eligibility. The Government may also sanction the quota against 25000 retired KP employees during the migration period of 30 years. GOI should reserve 3% to 5% reservation for displaced youth in Central Govt. departments and Educational Institutions for our long term needs.

We further appeal to LT. Governor to resolve the long pending demand of over aged section of the community who are the first victim of displacement. They could not get the jobs due to the age bar issue. Their overdependence only on the relief has caused agony for them on socio-economic front.
