IGP jammu zone, reviews crime, law & order of DKR range of jammu province
Jammu, September 24 (Scoop News)-Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone ,Jammu Shri Mukesh Singh- IPS, held a crime meeting with DIG DKR Range and SSP Ramban/Doda/Kishtwar at Batote in order to discuss/review Crime and Law & order scenario in DKR Range of Jammu Province.
During the meeting, a detailed briefing was given by the DIG DKR Range and district SSsP Ramban/Doda/Kishtwar one by one with regard to crime under various heads which includes general crime, cases related to property theft, NDPS, Bovine smuggling and heinous nature cases. Discussion was also held on militancy and law and order front, particularly in-view of the ongoing developments in South Kashmir including recent killing of a Sarpanch and BDC member. Arrest of absconders, location of missing persons, updating of history sheeters, disposal of complaints, DE and inquest proceedings was also reviewed and it was reiterated to take effective steps on ground to bring down pendency of under investigation cases.
IGP Jammu also reviewed the present security scenario as well as law and order and directed district SSsP to activate all available resources and ensure that peace and tranquillity is maintained in Chenab valley at any costs.
IGP Jammu stressed upon the district SSsP to hold regular crime meetings and to ensure that the supervisory officers keep monitoring the progress of investigation of cases.
He further directed all the concerned Range DIG and District SSsP to activate their all resources to generate intelligence so that law and order is maintained at all costs and anti-national elements do not get a chance to vitiate the prevailing peace and tranquillity in the region. He further said that Supervisory officers be directed to remain alert in their respective jurisdiction and ensure strict Naka checking on NHW from valley to Jammu region to prevent the movement of arms and terrorists in their region.
It was also stressed upon district SSsP to keep close track over the social media and identify the miscreants and mischief mongers and take necessary action under law against those found involved in spreading rumour and Anti-National comments. He further directed all the officers and men to remain extra vigilant, particularly in view of forth coming Bye-Poll Panchayat Election and religious festivals coming in the month of Oct-2020.
Thereafter, IGP Jammu Zone along with DIG DKR Range and District SSsP visited reviewed the ongoing construction work of Police Post Patnitop and renovation work of GOs Mess Patnitop.
