DYC Holds Mashaal rally against anti-farmers Bills at RS Pura
BJP allowed big corporate houses to overtake farming sector: Bajwa

R S Pura,September 24 (Scoop News)-Incharge Pradesh Youth Congress J&K and Secretary Indian Youth Congress, Harsimran Kaur Bajwa said that Twin Farm Bills passed in the Parliament are aimed to tarnish the farmers and land owners of the nation.
While leading a Mashaal rally held against the anti-farmers Bills at RS Pura, the IYC Secretary said that the farmers will only be in loss due to this Bill as the government has allowed the big corporate houses and businesses establishments to overtake the farming sector. “The produce to which farmers are sole owners and decided its price at Mandi level directly will be now replaced by big corporate sectors,” she said and added that APMC will be replaced by Minimum Support Price (MSP) wherein farmers will not have direct hand over their produce and its price.
“Government should declare in writing the MSP of farmers’ produce prior to handling over to these corporate houses,” Bajwa said, adding “Farmers will have not to contact with the bulk buyers as it used to be at Mandi level.”
She said that MSP must be put in the farmers’ domain before the implementation so that the farmers should know the price of their produce since according to the anti-farm bill, these farmers will not any direct link or contact with the buyers of their produce.
“Majority of the farmers in our nation don’t have bulk farming land so, for them it won’t be possible to sell their produce outside the state and UT,” Bajwa asserted and added that the Mandi level buying and selling of produce was beneficial for both farmers and buyers.
The Mashaal rally was organized by Neeraj Choudhary, District President JKPYC on the directions of Uday Chib, President JKPYC in which hundreds of Youth Congress activists led by Bajwa assembled outside SDM Office RS Pura and took out rally.
Other senior j&k youth congress leaders who joined the mashaal rally includes Nimran singh bhular gen secy. , Ranjit chopra gen secy, Ricky dalotra, sahil singh langheh, brinder pratap singh secy, Divansh singh secy, latish sharma , ankush sharma & Neeraj Choudary dyc rural president.& others
Neeraj Choudhary said that BJP has failed to provided compensation of 2015 hailstorm affected to farmers which has been pending for the last five years. He said during the congress regime in J&k, the cost of paddy had gone upto Rs 7500 per quintile but at present the cost of paddy has gone down to Rs 4000 only in BJP-rule. Instead of doubling farmers income, BJP is snatching two times meal of farmers. He said more than 42000 farmers have committed suicide due to anti farmers policies of BJP led government at the centre.
“Firstly, BJP dusted down the employment, GDP and economy of nation and further the party came up with the anti-farmer’s policy hence enslaving them to big corporate sectors. “Our nation will go backwards by over 70 years by these ill treated and anti-farmers policies of BJP-led government,” Choudhary said. Regarding the farmers suicide cases she said the enslaving the farmers will apparently lead to the same. “The report of Swawmy Narthan is yet to be implemented,” he said.

Choudhary asked BJP to revoke such controversial Bills and fix MSP for their crops so that no more farmer will commit suicide in near future and will also get their adequate money by selling their produce in the market.
