| SVANidhi scheme aims to provide affordable working capital loans to street vendors | |
Leh (Ladakh), September 26(Scoop News)-Executive Officer Municipal Committee, (MC) Leh A.G. Zargar launched Street Vendors Atmanirbhar Nidhi (SVANidhi) scheme today at Municipal Committee, office Leh.
On the occasion Executive Officer MC informed that SVANidhi scheme aims to provide affordable working capital loans to street vendors to resume their livelihoods that have been affected due to the deadly novel Corona virus lockdown.
This scheme will be provided a working capital loan up to Rs. 10,000 to street vendors for the tenure of one year. It also provides for incentives in the form of interest subsidy @7% per annum on regular payment of loan and cash-back up to Rs 100 per month on undertaking prescribed digital transactions. He further detailed the beneficiaries regarding the scheme.
A total of 135 beneficiaries has been selected under the scheme and issued smart ID card to the beneficiaries by Executive Officer MC on the occasion.
