Srinagar, November22 (Scoop News)-The JK Unaided Private School Association (JKUPSA) held a important meeting to discuss pressing issues facing the private education secor in J&K. The event, attended by numerous school and college owners from across the region, also saw MLA Khansahab Saif-ud-Din Bhat was chief guest and has felicitated for his commitment to the education sector.
The meeting began with opening remarks by JKUPSA Junior Vice President Mohammad Yousuf Manzar, who set the agenda for the discussions. Speaking on the occasion, he remarked "Today, we come together to address the challenges that private schools in J&K have been grappling with for a long time. We are honored to felicitate MLA Khansahab Saif-ud-Din Bhat, whose support and advocacy for the education sector inspire confidence. This gathering underscores the collective will to prioritize and uplift private education in J&K."
MLA Saif-ud-Din Bhat actively engaged with the participants, attentively listening to their grievances and demands. He assured the stakeholders of his government's unwavering support, stating:"I deeply understand the challenges our education system has faced over the years. My government, led by Omar Abdullah Sahab and our Education Minister Miss Sakeena Itoo, is committed to addressing these concerns with utmost priority. We recognize the critical role of private schools in shaping the future of our youth and will ensure that issues such as unnecessary NOCs, land Issues and school fee regulations are discussed and resolved. Education is a topmost priority, and I assure you of my continued support in this noble endeavor."
JKUPSA President Showkat Chowdhary highlighted the association’s ongoing efforts to address long-standing issues. He stated that "I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all school owners and bearers of JK Unaided Private School Association for participating in this crucial meeting and felicitating MLA Khansahab Saif-ud-Din Bhat. We place our trust in the current government, led by Omar Abdullah Sahab and Dr. Farooq Abdullah Sahab, to resolve our long-pending issues, including unnecessary NOCs, fee regulations, and land matters. Our sector has made significant investments in education, we seek dignity, respect and collaboration to move forward effectively."
The meeting saw active participation from key stakeholders, including Suhail Jan General Secretary JKUPSA, Syed Ashid Nadvi, Chairman of Al-Noor Model School; Sujat Qureshi from Aspire World School; Riyaz Gull of SSM Higher Secondary School; Imtiyaz from New Era Public School; Syed Riyaz Masood Shah of Kohsar Public School; Faisal from Little Angels High School; Nazir Ahmad Wani, Chairman of New Banvent School. Representatives from Vibgyor Education Institute, Wisdom Public High School, Paramount High School, Allama Iqbal Institute, Mars School, New Wave Public High School, Gulistan-i-Atfal School, Vision School of Education, Akmal Public High School, Mehboob Public School, and Abdul Rashid of Child’s Come were also in attended. Additionally, college representatives included the General Secretary of the B.Ed. College Association, Altaf Bazaz from the Law College, representatives from Rizwan Memorial College, Bilal Ahmad, Chairman of G.A. Memorial College of Education, Dr. Iqbal Training College of Education, and the Chairman of Chenab Valley College of Education.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks extended to all participants for their contributions toward a meaningful dialogue on the challenges and opportunities in J&K’s private education sector. |
