Diskit, August 03 (Scoop News)-Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Nubra has successfully delivered comprehensive palliative care to two patients with advanced-stage cancer through a multidisciplinary approach, ensuring continuity of care from hospital to home.
In the first case, a 42-year-old woman from the remote village of Hunder Dok, diagnosed with metastatic neuroendocrine tumour with liver metastasis, was admitted under the care of the Consultant Physician for stabilization and symptom management. After her condition improved, she was discharged for Home-Based Palliative Care. Drass, August 03 (Scoop News)- As part of its ongoing efforts to facilitate the registration of tourism establishments and strengthen regulatory compliance in the tourism sector, the Department of Tourism, Kargil, today organized a Special Tourist Unit Registration Camp at the Tourist Bungalow, Drass, under the provisions of the Ladakh Tourist Unit Unified Registration Order, 2026.
The day-long registration camp was conducted to provide on-the-spot registration facilities and extend technical guidance to tourism stakeholders for registering their establishments in accordance with the provisions of the new regulatory framework.

Kargil, August 03 (Scoop News)- A Training of Trainers (ToT) programme for the Survey of Substance Use Among Children and Youth in the Union Territory of Ladakh commenced today under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. The programme is being organised by the Social Welfare Department in collaboration with the Education Department, Health Department, and Police Department.
The inaugural session was addressed by Dr. Murtaza, who highlighted the importance of collective efforts in addressing substance abuse among children and youth. The programme was formally inaugurated by Agha Syed Abdullah Shah, Resource Person from DIET Kargil.
