Dr. Narinder Singh demands ST-II status for PoJK refugees settled in Jammu | |
Jammu, April 20 (Scoop News)-Dr. Narinder Singh, BJP National Secretary and Member of Legislative Assembly from RS Pura-Jammu South, has strongly advocated for granting Scheduled Tribe (ST-II) status to the refugees from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) who are settled in the Jammu region.
Speaking on the matter, Dr. Singh highlighted the discriminatory treatment faced by the PoJK displaced community, stating that while those residing in Rajouri and Poonch have been granted ST-II status under the Pahari ethnic group, their relatives settled in Jammu continue to be denied the same recognition.

Leh, April 20 (Scoop News)- The Administrative Secretary, Tourism Department, UT of Ladakh, Sh. Vikram Singh Malik, IAS chaired a VC with all stakeholders to address the ongoing issues faced by tourists due to multiple flight cancellations in Ladakh caused by adverse weather conditions.
It was informed during the meeting that total 46 incoming and outbound flights have been cancelled over the past two days, affecting around 6,500 passengers.
The Secretary sought updates from the Airport Authority of India (AAI); CISF and various airlines regarding the operation of additional flights in the coming days.

Kargil, April 18 (Scoop News)-Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, today attended the distribution ceremony of lighting units and looms under the National Handloom Development Programme (NHDP) at Handloom Department Kargil.
The initiative falls under the Outside Cluster Programme, wherein 90% of the cost is subsidized by the government while the remaining 10% is borne by the weavers. On the occasion, a total of 27 looms and 17 lighting units were distributed among the beneficiaries.
