Resolve transportation problem of people forthwith : Manjeet | |
Jammu, April 30 (Scoop News)- A meeting of Jammu & Kashmir Apni Party was held today in party office Jammu under the Chairmanship of Sardar Manjeet Singh Former Minister and Provincial President Jammu to discuss and deliberate upon the problems being faced by the people due to continuous strike of Transporters & due to Covid 19 pandemic SOPs and restrictions that has left poor Rehri walas and labour class with out any livelihood and they face great hardships in these days.
Manjeet Singh while addressing the meeting appealed to Lt. Governor administration to take immediate necessary measures by making alternate transport arrangements for the people especially for rural areas where people face discomfort in this Covid 19 Pandemic lockdown due to strike of transporters.
Manjeet also said that transport sector has been badly hit since last one year due to Covid 19 lockdowns and with the result our transporters including the owners of Buses, Trucks , cars auto-rickshaws , Taxis ,cabs etc have been put to great financial constraints and with the result they are not able to pay salaries to their drivers and conductors as well run their families smoothly . He further said that they are not even able to pay bank loan installments smoothly and hence he appeals His Excellency the Governor J&K to dole out a special package for the transporters so that this badly hit sector is revived and their financial conditions get improved
He also advocated for giving usual compensation to Rehri walas and poor labour and other sufferer classes who had been facing the brunt of Covid 19 Pandemic lockdown since last one year that has left them sourceless.
