District Admn imposes fine on new SOPs violators
urges people to extend support to contain the spread of Covid-19 in district


Leh, June 07 (Scoop News)-Despite the new SOPs and guidelines issued by the District Administration, Leh, to gradually unlock the Covid-19 restrictions in the district, some defaulters were found violating the new SOPs/guidelines.
Vehicles were plying on the road without adhering to the odd-even scheme implemented by the Administration during the surveillance at major checkpoints. UT Traffic Police issued challans/fine to the defaulters with strict warnings not to repeat the offence.
The Administration had prepared the new SOPs taking the issues and grievances of all stakeholders into consideration. A detailed assessment of the Covid-19 situation and its containment measures were assessed before preparing the SOPs.
Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, and Deputy Commissioner/Chairman, DDMA, Leh, Shrikant Suse, appealed to the public to strictly follow the new SOPs/ guidelines issued by the District Administration Leh and help to contain the spread of Covid-19 infection. They warned that strict action would be taken against Covid-19 SOPs/guidelines violators.
