| Director School Education Ladakh calls on CEC Kargil | | Discusses various issues pertaining to School Education, appreciates community participation in schooling system in Kargil |
Kargil,(Ladakh), June 07 (Scoop News)-Director School Education Ladakh Dr Safdar Ali called on the Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan at the Council Secretariat Kargil here today.
CEC Feroz Ahmad Khan while congratulating Dr Safdar Ali for assuming the charge as Director School Education Ladakh expressed optimism that that under his direction the School Education Department will reach new heights.
During the course of the meeting, the Director informed the CEC Kargil about the guidelines been framed for monitoring of the recently launched educational tablets under the YounTab Scheme. He further informed that the beneficiary school students would be allowed to completely own the tablets in order to enable their blending in with the digital world.
"Introducing the tablets from a young age will introduce them to the latest technologies and will further aid them in their learning in the present times," the Director said.
CEC Feroz Ahmad Khan while appreciating the initiative congratulated the Director on the launch of this ambitious project. He hoped that the Directorate of School Education will accentuate the efforts made the LAHDC Kargil to increase enrolment ration in Government run schools in the district and also highlighted the role of community in making the Council Model Government schools a success.
CEC Kargil further stressed on the need for increasing the enrolment in Government schools in the district by strengthening the school infrastructure. He urged the Director to take all necessary steps in this direction to ensure timely results.
Meanwhile, Director School Education Dr Safdar Ali appreciated the role of the community in strengthening the Government run schools in Kargil district.
During the course of the meeting, CEC Khan also shared his thoughts about the future affiliation of schools and the need for taking an urgent decision in the matter.
Various other important issues related to the strengthening of education system also came up for discussion during the meeting.
