Lt Governor,Advisors,CS,Others greet people on Eid-ul-Azha

Srinagar, July 20 (Scoop News)- Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha has greeted the people of Jammu & Kashmir UT on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
In his message of felicitation, the Lt Governor observed that the festival is celebration of the spirit of inclusiveness and endorses the sense of generosity amongst all the sections of the society.
"On this auspicious occasion, I convey my best wishes to the people and hope that the spirit of benevolence and selfless service symbolized by the Eid-ul-Azha will foster peace and harmony," Lt Governor added.
May this occasion deepen the bond of communal harmony and amity among all sects, and bring progress & prosperity in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir with good health for all, prayed the Lt Governor.
In view of the evolving situation, I urge everyone to follow the Covid protocols, display Covid appropriate behavior, offer Eid prayers at home and stay safe, said the Lt Governor.



Advisor Khan greets people on Eid-ul-Azha
Urges people to celebrate gala amid strict adherence to Covid preventive protocols
Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan, today extended greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the Nation on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
In a message, Advisor Khan termed the occasion as a festival of sacrifice and selflessness saying that Eid-ul-Azha endorses the spirit of benevolence and generosity towards others.
“I hope that this auspicious occasion would further enhance the amiable atmosphere and provide a beacon of light for prosperity and development in the Union Territory. Such religious events bring great richness to our cultural landscape and pluralism binding together people of all faiths. Rather than keeping us apart, the distinct tradition and composite culture that has found home in our country, is a source of understanding and compassion that enriches our nation,” he asserted.
Advisor urged upon the people to celebrate this festival amidst strict adherence to prescribed guidelines and preventive measures issued by the health authorities and government regarding Covid-19.
He also prayed for peace, progress and prosperity in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Advisor Bhatnagar greets people on eve of Eid-ul-Azha

Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmed Khan, has wished people of Jammu and Kashmir on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha.

Chief Secretary greets people on Eid-ul-Azha
Appeals people to observe COVID Appropriate Behaviour during festivities
The Chief Secretary, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, today extended greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, wishing them well-being, peace and prosperity.
In his message on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha, the Chief Secretary said that the holy festival teaches us the principles of sacrifice, humility and benefaction. He expressed hope that the festival will further strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, mutual brotherhood, amity, and tranquillity. He asked the youth to come together and contribute to peace and progress of UT besides both personal and societal development.
Keeping in view the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the Union Territory, the Chief Secretary urged people to observe COVID appropriate behaviour, SOPs and protocols during the festivities to prevent further spread of the disease.






DC Anantnag greets people on eve of Eid-Ul- Adha
Calls for strict adherence to CAB during ensuing festivals
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla has extended warm greetings to the people of the district for upcoming festivities of Eid- ul-Adha.
In his message, the DC expressed hope that the Covid Pandemic would end soon and the normalcy of precovid times is resumed. He wished blessings to the people and prayed for the collective well-being of the society.
Calling for strict adherence to Covid SOPs, the DC said it is the responsibility of every citizen to follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) at religious places, markets, mandies, etc during the festival days.
To stay safe and together for such occasions in future, we need to be proactive and deny every chance for the deadly virus to spread again, the DC remarked.






DGP extends warm greetings to the people of J&K, families of martyrs, all ranks of JKP on Eid

On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Director General of Police, J&K, Shri Dilbag Singh has extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, families of martyrs, all ranks of JKP and their families.

In his message, DGP has expressed his hope that this Eid will bring joy and happiness among the people of J&K including the Police, their families and the families of police martyrs.

The DGP has appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and in particular to the religious leaders and senior citizens to guide the common people in celebrating this Eid while taking precautionary measures to stop the resurgence of COVID-19 pandemic.






DHSK greets people on Eid-ul-Adha, appeals public to follow SOPs
Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Rather has greeted people on the eve of Eid-ul-Adha and appealed to the general public to follow all the Covid-19 SOPs.
“My best wishes on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha to people in general and health workers in particular who have been fighting the pandemic for one and half years and will continue to do so in future. I pray for everyone's good health,” he said.
The director said the holy festival teaches us the principles of sacrifice, humility and benefaction. He hoped that the day will bring peace and prosperity to the whole of humanity.
Dr Mushtaq in his message urged people to work for the well-being of society and the country and observe the guidelines related to COVID-19.
"Let us all resolve to deal with this pandemic of Covid-19 by following all the rules and guidelines and work for the well-being of society and the country," he said.
The director appealed to people to follow all the SOPs during the rituals of the Eid-ul-Adha.
“While celebrating the festival, people should avoid gatherings and follow all the protocols and SOPs like wear masks and maintain physical distance,” he said.
The director said that only vaccinated persons should distribute meat to other families in the neighborhood or in relationships which will help to fight spread of infection.
He said any violation of Covid guidelines issued by the government from time to time could become the cause of the virus and can become the reason for the third wave.
The director said social distancing and wearing of masks should be made mandatory at mosques during prayers and people should volunteer to encourage people to follow SOPs.
Dr Mushtaq said though the Covid-19 situation is improving day by day, wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, hand hygiene and avoiding mass gatherings are imperative to safeguard our family and fellow citizens from infection of deadly pandemic.
On the eve of Eid-ul-Adha, the director also urged the left out population to inoculate anti Covid-19 vaccine at the earliest to protect themselves against infection of Covid-19.


Rana greets people on Eid-ul-Azha

Provincial President National Conference Jammu Mr Devender Singh Rana today greeted the people on Eid-ul-Azah, hoping this auspicious occasion will usher Jammu and Kashmir to peace and harmony.

“Pray such festivals to be an opportunity to rededicate ourselves to strengthen the bonds of inclusiveness, share our joys with others and serve the humanity”, the Provincial President said in a message issued from Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan.

Senior National Conference leaders including Mr Surjeet Singh Slathia, Mr Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, Mr Rattan Lal Gupta, Mr Sajjad Kichloo, Mr Abdul Gani Malik, Babu Rampal, Syed Mushtaq Ahmed Shah Bukhari, Mr Javed Rana and Mr Ajaz Jan also extended their greetings to the people on this auspicious occasion....
