| JKCCA Condoles the death of Senior Artist Subhash Anand | |
Jammu, September 12 (Scoop News)-Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu today organized an online condolence meeting to condole the death of Sh. Subhash Anand, a senior artist, cartoonist & a Hindi poet who left for heavenly abode this week. Sh. D P Abrol, Sh. O P Sharma, Jang S. Verman, Anil, Anita Sharma, Ravi Kumar, Deepak Kumar, Bimla Sharma, Jaswant Singh and
others conveyed their condolences during the online meeting.
Sh. O P Sharma while remembering the art & contribution of Sh. Subhash Anand said that he was a good artist, cartoonist and Hindi poet who has contributed in the field of art, literature and cartooning for quite a long period. He appreciated his nature and said that he has been very cooperative in all pursuits of art activities. He added that Sh. Subhash Anand has survived his wife, son and a Hindi poetess daughter.
The members prayed God for blessing the departed soul and bless the family members to bear the irreparable loss to the family.
It may be mentioned here that Sh. Subhash Anand has been a combination of a painter who usually expresses his feelings through colours, has tried the medium of writing through ‘Abhivyakti Ke Jharokhe', and tried to attract the reader by extended chapter in the shape of sketches drawn with each poetry justifying the theme of the said book.
Sh. Subhash Anand had been a trained applied artist and had been popular as a cartoonist. Subhash has done Bachelor’s degree in Applied Art from Institute of Fine Arts (IMFA), Jammu (now running under University of Jammu). He had done two years National Apprentices course in Painting from National Council for Training in Vocational Trades, GoI, New Delhi. He had participated in many All India and regional Art Exhibitions and camps at Amritsar, Lucknow, Jammu, Jalandhar, Srinagar, and Deoband. He has held two Solo- Shows at Jammu. He has been awarded by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages during 1990, 95 and 2015.
