| Navratra Prabhat Pheri Concludes Amidst Religious Fervor & Gaiety | | Jammu, October 14 (Scoop News)- The nine days Navratra Festival Prabhat Pheri in the holy town of Katra-Vaishnodevi came to conclusion today morning which was jointly organized by Department of Tourism J&K Govt. & Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine Board Katra in association with J&K Association Prabhat Pheri beside indirect support from other organizations during Navratra Festival2021 . The function concluded amidst chanting of bhajans & beating of drums at bus stand Katra.
Earlier chief guest Sh. Vimal Indu president municipal committee Katra and guest of honour Mrs. Ambica Bali assitant director J&K tourism deptt. Katra in presence of municipal committee councilors Sh. Ravi Nag ,Smt. Bindu Sharma,Smt.Reena Baru,Smt. Renu Bala and special guests Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma former joint secretary J&K sports council & Sh. Vijay Bali cut the ribbon at bus stand Katra from where colorful prabhat pheri procession started in which artists from J&K,Himachal,Orissa,Maharashtra & a large number of locals and devotees participated .
Today’s atraction was jhanki of Maa Sidhidatri showcased by Baldev and party. Pilgrims group from delhi under the leadership of Sunil Raheja joined the prabhat pheri and they chanted the jaikaras of maa vaishnodevi and danced to the beats of drum all along the route.
While speaking on the occasion chief guest Sh. Vimal Indu wished may Maa Vaishnodevi shower her blessings upon all ! & complimented the members of the prabhat pheri in making this event colourful, successful and spiritual.
Guest of honour Smt. Ambica Bali said that prabhat pheri during navratras is a form of devotion towards the holy diety & performing prabhat pheri at Katra will definitely please maa vaishnodevi.
Sr.citizen forum led by Babu Ram participated in the prabhat pheri in large numbers.
Being the last day of festivity, the association members were all enthusiastic and danced in full swing all along the route.
A felicitation ceremony was hosted to honour the dignitaries present in the procession and members of J&K association of prabhat pheri with mementos for making necessary arrangements and better coordination during prabhat pheri.
On the occasion chief guest Sh.Vimal Indu & guest of honour Mrs. Ambica Bali also felicitated with pagari and chunari and momento by association members.
After the prabhat pheri culmination kanya poojan was held and halwa was served to the yatries and participants who participated in the procession of prabhat pheri.
Speaking on the occasion Raj Kumar Padha president J&K asociation of prabhat pheri told that it was the result of coordination & sincere efforts put in by the people of Katra for making the event of prabhat pheri a grand success.He thanked the j&K tourism deptt.,district administration ,health department ,police department ,crpf 6th battalion Katra ,NCC cadets,municipal committee katra ,health deptt.,print and electronic media and katra people for their active cooperation & support during prabhat pheri processions.
