| Rape by fake Marriage; Accused Arrested From Andra Pardesh: Reasi Police | |
Jammu, October 16 (Scoop News)- A written complaint was lodged in Police Station Reasi by one Rehana (name changed) of Reasi that One Mohd Ashfaq S/O Mohd Razaq R/O Sarola Manjakote by concealed identity & fraudulently developed relationship with the complainant and repeatedly raped her in the garb of fake marriage. The woman on enquiry came to know about the fraud & abuse that has been committed against her body and mind. To further poexploit the women, accused floated objectionable pictures of victim on social media.
On this case FIR no. 197 US 376 IPC has been lodged in Police Station Reasi and investigations set in.
Fraudulent relationship with the woman in Reasi remained for two months for raping her.
Police team swung into action after lodging FIR, medical examination of the victim was conducted. Statement of Victim was recorded U/S 164 CrPC before judicial magistrate. Working upon clues from human intelligence, the presence of accused was found in Andra Pardesh.
Sh Shailender Singh Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi constituted a special team headed by Sub Inspector rank officer and sent to Andra Pradesh immediately.
After a travel of 3 days by train on one side and liaison with local police, making series of raids, finally arrested the accused criminal from Peddapuram, East Godavari, area of Andra Pardesh, within 5 days of reporting of crime and brought to Reasi after obtaining Transit Remand from Hon’ble Court of JMIC, Peddapuram Andra Pardesh to face investigation & Judicial process.
Meanwhile involvement of Two more- Manzoor and Iqbal have been found in defaming the accused by sharing objectionable pictures victim on social media.
Accused Manzoor Ahmed S/O Ghulam Mohd R/O Mahore at present Bajalta is arrested from Bajalta Udhampur and second accused namely Iqbal Hussain S/O Gulzar Hussain R/O Mari, Reasi is arrested From Reasi Town.
Mr Singh conveyed that further investigation into the case is going on and investigation will be concluded on merits on priority. Further appealed that parents & girls should remain aware of such type of fraudsters who remain on the mission of spoiling the life of innocent girls on false promises of marriage.
