JKNPP condemns killing Rahul Bhat
Demands overhaul of Police, Civil Admn.
Hakikat Singh, General Secretary of JKNPP in a statement issued at Srinagar today condemned inhuman, barbaric and most unfortunate murderous killing of Shri Rahul Bhat Migrant Government employee working in Teshil office, Chadoura in broad daylight.
Words fail to condemn this killing of an innocent employee. He also conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to give strength to bear this irrepressible loss.
He further said this is a total failure/collapse of the administration in protecting the lives of the people especially minorities. The recent target killing of minority community is an eye-opener for the administration of LG of J&K. We are witnessing the worst situation after 1990 where an employee was killed in broad daylight inside the office. It is a heartening and most condemnable attitude of District Administration of Budgam including DC and SP which is a question mark on their functioning as per statement of father of the deceased Rahul Bhat. We have never seen before such an irresponsible attitude of the District Administration of Budgam/Tehsildar Chadoura. How it happened and is there any CCTV footage in such an important office.
We demand a high level probe by a sitting judge into this incident so that those responsible are brought to justice.
The Panthers Party demands overhaul at the top level of police brass as they have failed to protect the minority communities in Kashmir who are feeling very insecure.
Finally it is clear we are reaping the front of a bureaucratic system of Governance which is not an alternative to political governance. We demand an explanation from the Home Minister of India and LG of J&K to publicly accept their failure in controlling the security situation. Minorities are facing the most insecure these days and this is a ringing bell in the coming days. Administration must act on ground and improve the security scenario rather than issuing statements.
