| JK cop Saifullah Qadri martyred in a terrorist attack, daughter also injured | | JK Police pay tributes to martyr Saifullah Qadri | 
Srinagar, May 24 (Scoop News)-Terrorists killed a police personnel namely SgCt Saifullah Qadri on Tuesday.
Police spokesman said that today at about 1700hrs, Police received information about a terror crime incident in Soura area of Srinagar where terrorists fired upon a police personnel. Senior police officers along with reinforcement reached at the terror crime spot.
Officers attending the crime spot learnt that terrorists had fired indiscriminately upon one police personnel namely SgCt Saifullah Qadri son of Mohammad Syed Qadri resident of Ganai Mohalla Anchar outside his house. In this terror crime incident, he and his 09 years old daughter received critical gunshot injuries and were immediately evacuated to nearby hospital for the treatment to their injuries. However, Saifullah Qadri succumbed to his injuries and attained martyrdom. The condition of the other injured is stated to be stable.
Police has registered a case under relevant sections of law and initiated investigation. Officers continue to work to establish the full circumstances of the terror crime while the whole area has been cordoned off with the help of reinforcement and search in the area is going on.
To pay honour and respect to martyr SgCt Saifullah Qadri, a wreath laying ceremony was held at District Police Lines, Srinagar.
Civil, CAPFs and & Police officers led by IGP Kashmir Shri Vijay Kumar laid floral wreaths on the mortal remains & paid rich tributes to the martyr for his supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. On the occasion, DIG CKR Srinagar Shri Sujit Kumar, DIG CRPF Shri Mathew A John, DC Srinagar Shri Mohammad Aijaz Asad, SSP Srinagar Shri Rakesh Balwal, SP PC Srinagar, all Zonal SsP and other officers & officials of Police and Security forces also paid rich floral tributes to the martyr.
On the sidelines of wreath laying ceremony while speaking to media persons IGP Kashmir said that perpetrators of this barbaric terror act will be brought to justice very soon. He also said that entire society including families of the terrorists should condemn the attacks on unarmed policeman and her 09 years daughter.
We pay our rich tributes to the martyr for his supreme sacrifice made in the line of duty and stand by his family at this crucial juncture.
Meanwhile Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday condemned the killing of a policeman in Soura area of the city
“I strongly condemn the cowardly terror attack in Soura, Srinagar. I assure the people that those behind this despicable attack will not go unpunished. I salute the martyr Policeman SgCt Saifullah Qadri. His service to the nation and supreme sacrifice will always be remembered,” LG Sinha tweeted.
“My thoughts are with the bereaved family. I pray for the speedy recovery of his daughter,” he added.
