Congress Condemns brutal laathicharge over agitated youth against Agnipath
Agnipath is like agni (Fire) for nation -JKPCC

Jammu, June 16 (Scoop News)-Terming the newly announced agnipath recruitment scheme in armed forces like "agni" (fire) for the nation and youth of the country,JK Congress has strongly condemned the brutal laathicharge over agitated youth &aspirants protesting in Jammu against this anti youth scheme.

JKPCC Chief G A Mir along with working President Raman Bhalla,Mula Ram, Ravinder Sharma, Balwan Singh,Manmohan Singh,Udey Chib,Sunny Parihar and others met the agitated youth at DPL where they were detained,after laathicharge and arrest, as the entire JKPCC leadership was under detention at District police line.
The agitated youth showed the injuries and bruises on their body by police beating when they were peacefully protesting against the newly launched agnipath scheme ,at Rehari today.
They narrated that they were already screened in medical and other preliminary tests and were waiting for four years for final tests and have been undergoing hard exercises to prepare for the tests but all of sudden agnipath has been launched,which is against the youth,they said.
JKPCC Leadership strongly condemned the brutal laathicharge upon the agitated youth and termed the agnipath scheme as anti youth and also not in the overall interest of the society especially youth who would be deprived of the regular jobs in the armed forces.
The youth in the country especially in the border states /regions like jammu and Kashmir will be deprived of the main source of employment and would be rendered jobless after four years.
The youth of jammu and Kashmir are already frustrated post downgrading of the state and because of the policies of the present dispensation. The lower and middle income families shall be grate sufferers of this scheme, they said.
