| EC Tashi chairs review meeting ahead of HH Dalai Lama’s visit to Zanskar | | Kargil, August 08 (Scoop News)- Executive Councilor Tourism, RD and Zanskar Affairs, Er Punchok Tashi on Sunday chaired a meeting at TRC Padum to review the arrangement ahead of His Holiness Dalai Lama’s visit to Zanskar subdivision.
President Zanskar Buddhist Association and Zanskar Gonpa Association informed the EC that the renovation and restoration works are going in full swing.
During the meeting, EC Tashi directed Station House Officer Zanskar to maintain traffic movement and also maintain law and order.
Later, the EC visited the sites of NH-301 and directed the site manager to complete breast walls and culverts as per the requirements of public.
The EC also visited and inspected the ongoing developmental works including staff quarter of Govt. Model Degree College Zanskar and residential quarter of SDM Zanskar and directed the concerned Exen to complete the works on stipulated time.
The meeting was attended by SDM, SHO, Incharge OC BRO, President Zanskar Buddhist Association and Zanskar Gonpa Association, Exen R&B and PWD and AEE PWD.
