Only NC can address concerns of common people by forming a representative Govt: Rattan Lal

Akhnoor, August 09 (Scoop News)- Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President National Conference (NC), while castigating the Govt for bringing multiple miseries to the people of J&K through its wrong polices, has asserted that only NC can address the concerns of the common people in J&K once it forms a representative Govt with full support of the people.
The senior NC leader stated this while addressing a large gathering at the public meeting organized by the party at Akhnoor. Various issues faced by general public were discussed in the meeting with Rattan Lal Gupta being the Chief Guest.
The local people apprised the National Conference Provincial President about scarcity of basic amenities in the area. They said that they are living a miserable life due to poor condition of roads, scarcity of drinking water, electricity and last but not the least the very poor health and medical infrastructure in the area.
After giving them a patient hearing, the senior National Conference leader assured them that he would take up their issues with the concerned authorities and make every effort to get these resolved at the earliest.
In his address to large gathering of people during the party’s public meeting, Rattan Lal said it is very painful to see the people of Akhnoor belt suffering amidst huge hardships due to the absence of the very basic amenities necessary for survival in the present day world.
Raising serious concern over the shortage of drinking water, Gupta said that this is attributed to the Govt’s insensitive approach towards the daily wagers’ issues in the PHE. He urged the government to address all the issues of daily wagers on priority as that would automatically lead to regular water supply in the area. In the mean time the Govt should make alternate arrangements to ensure drinking water supply by taking the necessary measures so that people do not suffer on account of the growing shortage of water not only in Akhnoor belt but across the entire Jammu and Kashmir, he added.
Accusing the BJP led Government at the Centre as well as the J&K administration of failing in terms of governance of this fragile region, the senior National Conference leader said that due to the anti people policies the people across the J&K continue to suffer the most as they don’t have a representative government. He said the worst affected section of the society is the youth whose future has been tinkered by the J&K administration thus leaving them in quandary and utter frustration.
Rattan Lal Gupta appealed to the Govt to fill all the vacant posts in all the departments of J&K Administration on fast track basis so that substantial number of unemployed youth heaves a sigh of relief. He also demanded that Govt should give preference to local youths in Govt jobs on the patter that is being followed in Ladakh Territory.
Meanwhile, the senior NC leader asked people of Akhnoor belt to support National Conference that vouches for the equitable development of all regions especially Akhnoor that has a great historical significance. He asserted that only NC can address the concerns of the common people in J&K once it forms a representative Govt with full support of the people.
