| Police recovers abducted girl in Baramulla, accused arrested | |
Srinagar, September 21 (Scoop News)-Police in Baramulla have recovered an abducted girl within 6 hours by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime.
Police Post Palhallan received a written complaint from one person stating therein that his daughter has been abducted by Mohammad Afzal Chopan (Bilal) son of Gh Hassan Chopan resident of Palhallan Pattan. Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Pattan and investigation was initiated.
On receipt of this information, SDPO Pattan Shri Mohammad Nawaz Khanday-JKPS constituted a team headed by In-charge Police Post Palhallan. During the course of investigation, after strenuous efforts Police recovered the abducted girl and arrested the accused person involved in the commission of crime from Hajin area of District Bandipora.
After completing all the medico legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs. Further investigation of the case is going on.
