Principal Secretary, IT Dept, Ladakh reviews progress in implementation of Common Service Centre in Ladakh

Leh, November 24(Scoop News)-Principal Secretary, IT Dept, Ladakh, Sanjeev Khirwar chaired a meeting in his office chamber to review the implementation of Common Service Centre (CSC) in the UT Ladakh
In the meeting, General Manager, CSC, Shahnawaz Rashid apprised the Principal Secretary about the services offered through CSC centers for the delivery of various e-governance and business services to citizens in rural and remote areas of UT Ladakh. He also informed that CSC has covered 112 Gram Panchayats of UT Ladakh out of the total 193 Gram Panchayats, 63 in Kargil and 49 in Leh district .It was also informed that a total of 115 Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) are associated with the CSC out of which 66 VLEs are operating in Kargil district and 49 VLEs are operating in Leh district.
Shahnawaz Rashid informed that due to inadequate availability of e-services in the UT of Ladakh, currently, the citizens are availing the benefits of e-service of schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, PMGDISHA, e-Vahaan, e- Saarthi through CSC VLES only.
Further, Shahnawaz Rashid apprised Principal Secretary about the free software development service except for the hosting charges carried out by CSC team for the States/UT for citizen-centric services and have offered the same for the UT Ladakh. Principal Secretary instructed the IT team to explore the already developed web-based services which they have carried in other states like Madhya Pradesh, J&K, etc.
Principal Secretary instructed the IT team to ask the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) team to share the API of the 14 e-Services of State e-Governance Service Delivery Gateway (SSDG) developed by the IT Department through CDAC with the CSC team so that it can be integrated with the CSC Portal. GM, CSC was asked to share the technical requirements with the IT team for the integration of the SSDG services with the CSC portal and GM. CSC J&K/Ladakh has committed to integrate the platforms at the earliest.
The Principal Secretary requested the GM, CSC to visit Ladakh at the earliest to oversee the CSC work progress and present the report to him.
The meeting was attended by General Manager, CSC J&K, Ladakh, Shahnawaz Rashid; It Consultant, IT Dept, Kumar Amit; IT Project Manager, IT Dept, Ladakh and other concerned officials.
