| Dr Rohit Gupta demands 24/7 electricity supply in Jammu | |
Jammu, January 20 (Scoop News)-: Apni Party Provincial Secretary / District President Jammu Urban, Dr Rohit Gupta has demanded round the clock electricity supply in Jammu where unscheduled power cuts have become a serious cause of concern amid the harsh weather conditions.
Dr Gupta chaired a district office bearer’s meeting in Apni Party Office in Jammu to review the working of the leaders.
He said that the Jammu Municipal Limits is not only facing electricity cuts, irregular water supply and poor development, but the condition of Jammu seems to have become bad to worse due to digging of roads in the name of development or smart city.
“The uprooted tile work on the footpath near Science College, Canal Road and other areas under Jammu Municipal Limits has caused great inconvenience to the people but the corporation is sleeping over the issues,” he said.
He further said that the road conjunctions and failure of the authorities to regular traffic on the Canal Road, New Plot-Janipur-Bantalab, and Subhash Nagar Road etc.
He said that if the JMC and other related authorities did not improve the system, the Apni Party would be forced to come on the road against authoritarian rule.
The meeting was attended by Apni Trade Union President J&K, Ajaz Kazmi, OBC State Coordinator Madan Lal Chalotra, Provincial President Jammu Youth Wing, Vipul Bali, ST Wing Provincial President, Shabir Kohli, and others.
During the meeting, the Apni Party held threadbare discussion over the organizational issues and their preparation to intensify the public contact programmes.
Following the discussion, the Apni Party office bearers decided future course of action for the strengthening of the organisation in Jammu Urban.
Meanwhile, the Apni Party leaders discussed political activities so that the feeling of alienation which has developed due to the administration can be addressed.
