| Newly constructed sheep extension centre inaugurated at Nimmo | |
Leh, January 21 (Scoop News)-Director, Animal Sheep and Fisheries,UT Ladakh, Dr. Mohammad Raza inaugurated the newly constructed Sheep Extension Center at Nimmo village.
District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Dr. Tundup Namgial; Technical officer, Dr Nasreen Fatima; Block Officer Leh, Tsewang Yangjor and village representatives were present during the inaugural function.
Dr. Raza discussed the livestock strength of the area and the possible revival strategies that can be implemented in addition to the previous plans executed to revive the sheep and goat population in Nimmo village.
Further, he stressed on the importance of timely availability of veterinary services in villages by ensuring infrastructure facilities and medicinal care for animals at extension centers.
