Delegation of JK Indian Dental Association met LG Advisor
Memorandum for job creation and seniority issues submitted
Srinagar, January 25 (Scoop News)-Jammu and Kashmir chapter of Indian Dental Association delegation led by Dr. Adil Malik , Dr. Nusrat , Prof Dr H.U. Malik & Dr. Hanana Bashir met advisor to Lieutenant Governor of union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and submitted JK long pending issues of dental fraternity.



“The meeting was held at the civil secretariat, Srinagar on Tuesday last and the delegation of Jammu and Kashmir chapter of Indian Dental Association delegation brought all the long pending issues of the dental fraternity in the notice of the advisor to Lieutenant Government Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar,” spokesman of the association said.



He further said that creation and advertisement of posts of Dental surgeons, career progression of in-service dental surgeons and relaxation in the registration of Dental establishments were discussed as Advisor JK Lieutenant Governor Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar gave a patient hearing and assured that all the issues will be examined and resolved at the earliest.



“A memorandum of genuine demands was also submitted which includes 5000 unemployed dental surgeons in the entire union territory of Jammu and Kashmir as since past 13 years, no post of dental surgeon was advised due to which a huge number of dental surgeons are still without any job,” the spokesman said in the press statement.



He also said that It was also brought into discussion that Jammu and Kashmir chapter of Indian Dental Association’s working, combination and vision of the association that all its members are working hard since so many years to bring awareness about oral health to the general population at their doorstep so that efficient and quality dental care can be provided to the public.



He further says that there should be creation of posts for dental surgeon at every NTPHC and three dental surgeons must be at CHC level and a team of 10 dental surgeons with dental consultants should be at district hospital and this will uplift this field and will also create job opportunities for jobless dental surgeons.



The spokesman of the association further says that in the submitted memorandum, it was also requested to Advisor to Lieutenant Governor that there should either be reservation for dental surgeons for administrative posts like BMO, CMO, DHO or there should be a common seniority for dental surgeons and medical officers.



The delegation thanked the Advisor to Lieutenant Governor for his special attention and concern regarding the long pending issues of the dental fraternity.
