| National Voters’ Day 2023 observed in Zanskar | |
Kargil,January 25 (Scoop News)-The 13th National Voters’ Day was celebrated today in Zanskar Sub Division at Tehsil Office Zanskar, the theme of which was “Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure.”
During the function, the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Zanskar/Tehsildar, Zanskar pledged the voters to vote and participate in every election as election is the basic right of every voter to choose their candidate at the gross root level.
SDM Zanskar directed all the employees to ensure the democratic practice of free, fair and peaceful elections, to vote in every election to sensitize the public about the adult franchise.
Similar functions were also held at every booth of the Sub Division conducted by all departments and the Booth Level Officers (BLOS) of the respective polling booths.
The theme for this year’s NVD is dedicated to voters which conveys individual’s feeling and aspiration towards participation in the electoral process through power of their vote.
