Vigyan Parishad conducted State Level Camp of VVM 2022-23

Jammu, February 05 (Scoop News)-Vigyan Parishad (J&K), a State Chapter of Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA), organized One Day State Level Camp and prize distribution ceremony of Vidhyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) 2022-23 for the students of Class VI to XI at CSIR-IIIM Jammu on 05.02.2023. Twelve top students were selected through rigorous
procedure from 99 students, who were initially shortlisted from more than 1000 registered students at the preliminary stage, for their onward participation in National Level Talent Search Camp. The programme was conducted by Vigyan Parishad J&K team comprising of Prof. Rajni Kant (President), Prof. Pawanesh Abrol (Vice President), Dr. Parveen Kumar Lehana (Vice President), Mr. Samir Vohra (Org. Secretary), Dr. Dhiraj Vyas (Secretary), Er. Deepak Byotra (Jt. Secretary), Mr. Pankaj Gupta (Treasurer), Ms. Tinny
Sawhney (State VVM Coordinator), Vikas Langer, Mr. Ajay Verma, Dr. Uday Pratap Singh, Social Media Incharge, Sh Rakesh Chobber, Academic Coordinator of VVM, and. Sh Vijay Sharma, Hon. Secretary IETE, Jammu sub centre.

The programme was presided by President Vigyan Parishad J&K, Prof. Rajni Kant, who in his address welcomed and congratulated the participating students for this talent search VVM Exam, also apprised the audience about the National Level Competitive Examinations which are available for those students who are willing to take up Science as a career. He also conveyed that the VVM examination has, in order to felicitate young budding scientists, continued with a practice of awarding students for their first, second
and third rank with a cash prize of Rs. 5000/-, Rs.3000/- and Rs.2000/- respectively, for each class, along with mementos and certificates. An exposition of various National funding agencies was also made and the students were apprised of the opportunities these agencies offer to the young budding scientists.
Dr. Brajesh Pandey National Controller Examination VVM, was the Guest of Honour, who during his interaction with the audience informed about the working principle of VVM at National Level and motivated the participating students to work hard for the development of the Nation and for its self reliance. Dr. Dhiraj Vyas, Sr. Principal Scientist CSIR-IIIM conveyed the greetings of Dr. D.S. Reddy, Director CSIR-IIIM for the programme and conveyed his message for the value of Science in our lives
and encouraged the students to do science for the betterment of this Nation. Ms. Jyoti Sharma conducted the proceedings of the event and Mr. Samir Vohra, Organising Secretary VIBHA J&K presented the formal vote of thanks.
The function was witnessed by the participating students, their parents, teacher coordinators/evaluators, alongwith the well learned gathering.
