| Police organises anti-drug awareness programme in Awantipora | |
Srinagar,March 17 (Scoop News)- Police in Awantipora organised an anti-drug awareness programmed under the theme of ‘ill effects of drug abuse on the society’ at Police Post Reshipora. Moreover, rally to generate awareness against drug abuse also held.
The anti-drug awareness programme was attended by the youth/respectable persons, students of different schools from Reshipora area. SDPO Awantipora Shri Mumtaz Ali Bhatti and In-charge Police Post Reshipora had a detailed interaction with the public during the awareness programme.
After the awareness programme at Police Post, a rally was also organized organised to generate awareness against drug abuse and its ill effects on the society. The rally was held from Police Post Reshipora to Ghat Tokina Awantipora headed by SDPO Awantipora. During rally participants took a pledge that they will stay away from drugs and will make all efforts for a drug free society.
General public has hailed the efforts of police and hoped that such seminars/rallies/programmes will be conducted/organised in future as well so that the drug menace will be eradicated completely.
