Jammu, March 23 (Scoop News)- A team from Police Station GRP Jammu led by SHO Inspector Rohit Dev Singh during patrolling/checking near Loco Shed at Railway Station Jammu intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 01 KG ganja from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Pawan Kumar Son of Kaniya lal R/O Garah Tehsil Rajnagar District Chatterpur MP A/P Bagad Mandi, Trikuta nagar Jammu. A case under 08/23 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act. has been registered at Police Station GRP Jammu and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade. The arrest and recovery was made under the overall supervision of SSP GRP Jammu & SDPO GRP Jammu.

A Police team of Police Post GRP Bari Brahmana while performing duties at fatak point railway track at Km 88.2 rounded up a person who was moving suspiciously. On seeing the police party approaching towards him, the suspect tried to escape from the spot. However with the swift action of the police team, the suspect was apprehended. During search, 52 bottles(Quarters) of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession. In this connection, a case under 48 Excise Act was registered at Police Station GRP Jammu and accused was arrested. The accused has been identified as Saman Kumar s/o Damodar Dass R/O Jharkhand at present Bari Brahmna. Further investigation of the case is going on. The arrest and recovery was made under the overall supervision of SSP GRP Jammu, SDPO GRP Jammu, SHO P/S GRP Jammu and I/C PP GRP Bari Brahmana.
