Seven workers of Power Project killed in road accident near Dangduru Dam site area in Kishtwar
Azad,Tarigami,Asgar Ali & various leaders express grief over Kishtwar fatal accident,demands inquiry
Jammu, May 24 (Scoop News)-Seven workers of Power Project were killed and one was critically injured after a cruiser vehicle they were traveling in met with an accident near Dangduru Dam site area in Dacchan, Kishtwar in Jammu region today.

According to reports District head confirmed the casualties and said that the injured person has shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar. He added that all possible help as per the requirement would be provided.

Reports reaching here said that the deceased have been identified as 1.Sudesh Kumar son of Karam Chand resident of Kutwara kastigarh Doda 2. Akhter Hussain son of Mohd Abass resident of Pingrari dachhan 3. Abdul Rasheed son of Aziz Mohd resident of Bunjwar Kishtwar4. Mubshar Ahmed Un-known 5. Itva 6. Rahul 7. Karan.



Meanwhile various political leaders expressed grief over Kishtwar fatal accident.


Azad demands inquiry, compensation for dangdooru road accident victim’s kin
Democratic Progressive Azad Party Chairman & Former Chief Minister J&K Ghulam Nabi Azad on Wednesday sought the thorough inquiry in the fatal accident at Dangdooru, Kishtwar in which seven people got killed and many others were critically injured. Mr Azad also sought an adequate compensation for the next of kins of the victim families and special treatment to those injured in the tragic accident. All the killed and injured in the accident were working for a private company working on Pakaldul power project. “The locals have levelled allegations that the company is using outdated transport for the employees working on the project. According to them the accident took place after vehicle they were travelling in slipped from the road,” he said. He said the locals also accused company of not providing safety equipment to the employees due to which such unfortunate incidents happen. “So I demand an inquiry into the allegations and alongside adequate compensation by both the company and government to the victim families,” he said.

State President CITU, J&K Mohamad Yousuf Tarigami has expressed deep shock and grief over the fatal road accident at Dangduru Dam site in Kishtwar area in which 7 workers of the Power Project died and two others were injured.
While expressing solidarity with the bereaved, he demanded adequate compensation to the victim families and free treatment to those injured in the accident.

Demands ex-gratia for next of kin of deceased, special treatment to injured persons


Apni Party State General Secretary Syed Asgar Ali has expressed grief over the road accident near Dangduru Dam site area in Dacchan, Kishtwar.
This accident has consumed the life of seven people and nine others wounded.
"I am deeply saddened at the tragic road mishap and pray for the peace of the departed souls," Syed Asgar Ali said in his message.
He expressed sympathy with the bereaved family members and appealed to the district administration to immediately give ex-gratia to the next of kin of the deceased persons and the injured should be provided shifted out of Kishtwar by air if their condition is serious.
He demanded a probe into the accident.
"The roads are in bad shape in Kishtwar and the administration should immediately look into the issues of over speed and bad roads in Kishtwar district," he said.
Meanwhile, Apni Party, State Secretary Mohinder Parihar, District President, Kishtwar, Mashood Mattoo and others office bearers from district Kishtwar have also expressed concern over the loss of life in the road accident.
