Manjit Singh seeks reservation of jobs for locals in industrial sector
Announces District Youth Committee, Block Youth Presidents of Samba


Jammu, May 24 (Scoop News)-Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh has demanded reservation of jobs for the local youth in the industrial sector to ensure employment.
As per a press statement, the industrial units hire the workers on contract basis mostly non-locals while ignoring the local skilled and unskilled workers.
“These skilled and unskilled local workers remain unemployed without job opportunity even as Jammu, Samba, and Kathua have ample placement options. Therefore, the Govt must intervene and ensure reservation of jobs for locals in the industrial sector in their respective districts,” he said.
He said that if the Apni Party forms the Govt, they will ensure that the jobs reservation for the locals in the industrial sector.
“Young educated section of society has an important role for nation building and the Apni Party is committed to provide them equitable development, and job opportunities as well,” he said.
Earlier he reviewed the preparation for the campaign ahead of proposed Panchayat Elections, and Urban Local Body elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
Manjit Singh chaired a meeting of party leaders, and workers, especially youth, who briefed him about their ongoing activities and campaign to educate people about the policy and developmental agenda of Apni Party.
The Party leaders informed the Former Minister that the acceptance of Apni Party has grown in Samba’s nook and corner as the people have lost hopes with the traditional political parties.
Addressing the party leaders, and workers, he asked them to intensify their campaign and meet the people in order to highlight their issues as well as make them aware about the agenda of the party regarding development, social security, employment, protection of natural resources, restriction on anti-encroachment drive to harass the poor people in the district.
He said that the people want elections to be held in J&K without delay and statehood should be restored as early as possible.
He said that “The cadre should be ready for the upcoming PRI and ULB elections in Jammu and Kashmir.” He also appreciated the party leaders for their enthusiasm and zeal with regard to the election preparation.
Meanwhile, the Provincial President, Jammu, S. Manjit Singh also announced District Youth Committee Samba and Block Youth Committee Presidents, Samba.
The members of District Youth Committee of Samba was nominated as Mangat Ram as President, Sonu Sharma as Senior Vice President, Naveen Choudhary as Senior Vice President, Ramesh Bhagat as Vice President, Rakesh Kumar as District Youth Coordinator, Sultan as Vice President, and Gulshan Kumar as Organising Secretary.
Similarly, the Presidents of Block Youth Committees, Samba include Irshan Choudhary - Bari Brahmana, Vikramjeet Singh – Parmandal, Tinku Thappa – Vijaypur-A, Amreek Singh –Ramgarh, Er Swaranjeet Singh –Rajpura, Surjeet Singh - Samba ‘B’ Rural, Raman Kumar – Samab ‘A’, Swaran Chand –Ghagwal, Ashwani Kumar – Sumb, Rakesh Kumar –Nud, and Balbir Kumar – Samba ‘B’ Urban.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting include District President Samba, Raman Thappa, District President Legal Cell, Samba, Adv Sahil Bharti, District President Women Wing, Priyanka, Lovely Mangol and others.
