GCW Gandhinagar organises Extension lecture on Women Entrepreneurship

Jammu, June 06 (Scoop News)- Institution Innovation Club and Department of Computer Applications of Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government College for Women Gandhinagar, in Collaboration with department of Statistics & department of Commerce on Tuesday organised an Extension lecture on "Empowering Women Entrepreneurship in developing Economy" here in the College Auditorium.
Dr. Rohit Bhagat, Assistant Professor, TBS, Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu was the Resource Person on the occasion.
Prof. Anupama Sharma, Convener, Institutional Innovation Club welcomed the Resource Person, Prof. Mamta Gupta, Dean Commerce & HOD Department of Commerce ; Prof. Mohinder Pal , HOD Department of Statistics ; Prof. Rohit Gupta, HOD Computer Applications & member IIC and a galaxy of intellectuals and the students for this innovative enterprise.
Dr. Rohit deliberated upon the need of promoting women's entrepreneurship and how it will become a powerful vehicle to speed up economic growth, innovation, creativity and productivity. He disseminated the mantra of starting a business and remedies to solve problems.
The success stories of some famous women entrepreneurs and interaction of students with the Resource Person concluded the lecture.
Principal of the College, Prof. Minu Mahajan appreciated the team for organizing such an enlightening program which will definitely help the students to broaden their horizon and help them in setting their goals and roadmap ahead.
The program was well coordinated by the team members Prof. Suman Bala, Dr. Nidhi Suri, Prof. Abhinav Prof. Sugandha Mahajan and Prof. Poonam.
Anisha Kour of Sem.2 conducted the proceedings of the program. Vote of thanks was delivered by Prof.Sunita Kumari, member IIC.
