PNBMT to launch renewed campaign for Temples in Kashmir


Jammu, June 06 (Scoop News)-A meeting of PNBMT was held today at Badshah Kalandar Ashram under the chairmanship of Sh.C.L.Pandita.
The new leader of the prestigious PNBMT who took charge as Chairman of the trust today assured in his speech that all the activities of the trust would be put on a fast mode and promised to have a significant personal contribution. In the days to come Sh.C.L.Pandita would be reaching out to the cadres and also the leaders and opinion makers of the community to chalk out a renewed strategy for the passage of the temples and shrines bill. C.L.Pandita said that the temples of Kashmir are an essential component of our socio cultural identity and we can not be oblivious towards their survival.
On the occasion a team of ADKPUF led by Sh.PN.Raina and Sh.P.L.Swadeshi participated in the meeting.The issues related to the unity amongst various KP groups was the highlight in their speech. The leadership of PNBMT assured full cooperation to the group in their noble mission.
The recent reports of encroachment at Jeevan Sahib Shrine was also discussed in the meeting. Jeevan Sahib was a great saint at the time of Afghan rule who had performed many miracles for the welfare of the people of those times and continues to inspire even today. PNBMT leadership assured to take up the matter with the concerned authorities. Prof.R L.Raina also raised the issue of Mangleshwar Ashram Safa Kadal in the meeting. Members also assured to take action in the matter.
The issues related to Temple property at Gulmarg and how it's encroachment by the government agencies was reversed also came up for discussion.
Virender Raina President PK while speaking on the occasion said that the pro active movement of the trust over the years has been able to prevent many temple properties from usurpation and sale, the example of Jwala Ji and Vaital Bhairav is in front of us. Virender Raina added that it was only due to the relentless campaign launched by the trust that a global and national level consciousness was created for the preservation and protection of the 5000 year old temples of Kashmir. Raina added that government needs to address the KP issues at a political level instead of dealing with them only as an administrative issue.
Adv. Kashmiri Lal Ji gave an overview of the recent judicial and administrative measures taken by the trust. In this regard the fruitful meeting with the Financial Comissioner was discussed. Kashmiri Lal added that we were able to bring to the notice of the worthy comissioner the farcical settlements done to the migrant properties in Kashmir without the knowledge of the real owners of such properties.
Many other important issues also came up for discussion. The prominent who attended the meeting included Sh.B.L.Saraf, M.M.Thaploo,Sundri Lal Koul, N.M.Gadroo,M.L.Kaul, Bansi Lal Zar, Naveen Kaul and Ramesh Marhatta.
