J&K getting special attention in health sector: Arvind
Jammu, November 11 (Scoop News)-Jammu and Kashmir BJP secretary and Reasi district prabhari, Arvind Gupta, has hailed the decision of the government to increase the number of BAMS seats from 60 to 100 and also the number of beds from 60 to 150 or even 200, based on requirement and occupancy. He said that it is one more step towards enhancing the intake of students for Ayurvedic medical seats and also further strengthening the Ayurvedic healthcare infrastructure in the UT.

Arvind Gupta said that during the past over nine years, after BJP led government under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, was formed at the centre, the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir and now the Union Territory, is getting special attention in healthcare and medical education sector.

Arvind Gupta said that, both, Jammu as well as Kashmir, has got separate AIIMS, new medical colleges in various districts have come up with best healthcare infrastructure, number of seats for MBBS courses have been increased . The people in Jammu and Kashmir have been issued Ayushman Gold Health cards for free medical treatment upto rupees five lakh. These are few examples which display the commitment of the Modi government to provide better and easily accessible medical facilities.

Gupta said that in comparison to the previous governments of Congress and other parties, the present government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has got appreciation for its untiring efforts for reaching doorsteps of the poor, needy and marginalized sections with an objective of mitigating their problems and bringing changes in their lives.

He said that it is not only health sector but many other fields, where Modi government has brought revolutionary changes and put the nation and its people on the path of peace, progress, healthy and dignified living.
