| Assistant Commissioner Development along with LRLM team visit Rangdum | |
Kargil, June 09 (Scoop News)- As per the direction of Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Shrikant Suse, Assistant Commissioner Development, Kargil, Padma Angmo along with LRLM and RDD team visited Rangdum Village and interacted with women households of Shamma Kharpo, Juldou, and Tashi Tongday villages.
The visit aimed to assess the development initiatives and empower women through LRLM schemes.Women households of Rangdum Village were given awareness and sensitized about the benefits under LRLM Scheme by DPM LRLM and on the spot new 10 SHGs were also formed in 03 villages of Rangdum by the direction of ACD.
Interest of women households in different trade was also assessed and accordingly direction were given to DPM LRLM by ACD to chalk out an intensive training plan for the women folk of Rangdum in this summer season as per the villagers convenience.
She emphasized the importance of women's participation in economic development and encouraged them to avail benefits from government schemes like LRLM.
ACD Kargil also took stock of development work going on under SDP, State Sector executed by RDD&PR Kargil and instructed concerned BDO not to compromise with the standards at any cost.
The visit was also aimed to strengthen the government efforts in rural development and women empowerment. Villagers were assured to provide every possible support under the scheme and urged them to work collectively for individual and societal growth and development. Councillor Parkachik; BDO Taisuru; DPM LRLM, BPM LRLM, Panchayat Secretary and Panchayat Accountant were also present during the programme.
