Training Program on Basic Life Support Held at IUST
Program on Opportunities in Corporate Sector held at IUST

Awantipora, June 10 (Scoop News)-The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) held a Basic Life Support (BLS) training program in collaboration with the Health Centre IUST, the Regional Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Dobiwan, and the Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir.
Experts from IUST and the Regional Institute including Dr. Zahida (Medical Officer IUST), Dr Masood (Regional Institute of Health and Family Welfare) provided training on essential life support techniques, including CPR and the use of AEDs. The program aimed to equip NSS volunteers and staff with the necessary skills to act promptly in emergencies was organized by Dr. Tariq Ahmed Ganie (IUST NSS Coordinator). The event saw participation from NSS volunteers, health centre employees, and security staff.

The program titled ‘Opportunities in the Corporate Sector’ aimed to provide valuable insights into the crucial aspects of career planning and development, internship opportunities, shedding light on the strategies and approaches that individuals can adopt to shape their professional journeys effectively. Mrs Kaur, offered guidance to students and attendees on how to navigate the complexities of modern career paths.
This initiative falls in line with the university's commitment to fostering holistic development and enhancing students' career prospects by connecting academic knowledge with real-world industry practices.
