| Government Polytechnic Jammu organizes seminar on Entrepreneurship | |
Jammu, September 11 (Scoop News)-Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk Jammu in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) today conducted a seminar on the topic "Entrepreneurship Awareness" for all the final year students of the college. The program was inaugurated by Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal of the college who in his welcome address stressed on becoming an entrepreneur and creating more opportunities for the youth of today’s by becoming job providers rather than job seekers. The resource persons for the seminar were Sh. Rajesh Kotwal, District Officer JKEDI Jammu & Mrs. Nauty Pandoh, Administrative Assistant JKEDI Jammu who shared the informative knowledge related to startup, incubation, patent and how JKEDI helps in getting the financial support as well as the guidance to take one’s startup to the heights. They informed the students about the basic essentials of Entrepreneurship and highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship in innovation, creation of employment and economy growth. Many questions were raised by the students and resource person encourage them to come up with new ideas. Others present on the occasion were Er. Jasdeep Kour HoD I&C, Er Amit Gupta Civil Engineering, Ar. Manu Rajput Demonstrator Arch. Asstt, Er Himanshu Bakshi Demonstrator Electrical Engg, Er Vishal Sharma Demonstrator Mechanical Engineering and other faculty and students of the institute.
