| GDC Drass kick starts annual intramural sports competition | |  Kargil, September 12 (Scoop News)-Department of Physical Education and Sports, Govt. Degree College Drass today commenced its annual intra-mural sports competition, featuring exciting events in volleyball, table tennis (TT), and badminton.
The annual event aims to foster spirit of sportsmanship among students. The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Incharge Principal, Mohd. Hassan, Asst. Prof. Education who emphasized the importance of sports in holistic education. “Sports not only promote physical well-being but also instil values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance,” he said.
Mohd Yaseen, Director Physical Sports and Education thanked the staff and students for their support and enthusiastic participation in the competitions.
The competition kicked off with a thrilling volleyball match, setting the tone for the days to come. Students showcased their skills and enthusiasm, making it a memorable start to the event. The table tennis and badminton matches are scheduled to follow.
