Today’s polling is a resounding message for change
Congress- NC coalition to get majority: Sharma

Jammu, October 01 (Scoop News)-Congratulating people for their overwhelming participation in the third and final phase of the polling, Congress on Tuesday said that the coalition is going to form a government comfortably with the support of the masses.

Replying to media queries , senior vice president and chief spokesperson of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Mr Ravinder Sharma extended heartiest congratulations to the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their overwhelming and enthusiastic participation in the polling process. He praised the voters for their unwavering commitment to democracy and their determination to shape the future of the region through peaceful and democratic means.

“Today’s record-breaking turnout is not just a display of civic duty, but a resounding message that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are ready for change. It is a clear reflection of their desire to reclaim their rights and restore the democratic fabric of the state," Sharma said.

He continued by expressing confidence in the Congress Party’s prospects, noting that the high voter turnout was a strong signal of the people’s dissatisfaction with the ruling BJP government, which kept them deprived of democracy for more than six years.

"Out of the 24 assembly seats in Jammu region that went to polls today, we are confident that Congress will emerge victorious in the majority of these constituencies. The people have spoken loud and clear, and their vote is a mandate for change, a mandate against the divisive and anti-democratic policies of the BJP. The overwhelming support for the National Conference-Congress alliance demonstrates that the people trust our vision for the future," Sharma added.

The high voter turnout is an answer to BJP that people always believed in democracy & not in negative agenda but were deliberately kept away from exercising this right by the BJP government, just to run proxy government here.

Now people will get their own elected government to givern but the struggle for the full rights to deliver and achieve statehood, is still ahead for which INDIA alliance led by Congres is fully committed.

Mr Sharma raised questions over the role of police administration at number of places including in parts of Kathua district where no action was taken against ruling party activists indulging in corrupt practices. There numerous complaints of Bjp supporters resorting tio illegal practices and in violence and nin action of police against them in Basihli, Billawar & other areas.
