| DC Kargil inaugurates segregation shed at Pashkum, Sodh Block on eve of Swachhata Diwas | |
Kargil, October 02 (Scoop News)- Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, inaugurated segregation sheds in Pashkum and Sodh Blocks today as part of the "Swachhta Hi Seva" campaign 2024 marking a significant milestone in Kargil's cleanliness initiatives on the eve of Swachhata Diwas.
The Deputy Commissioner congratulated and rewarded segregation workers for their tireless efforts in maintaining community health and well-being.
ACD Kargil, Padma Angmo; DPO Kargil Rehmatullah Bhat; BDO Dr. Sarwar Shahzad; BDO Sodh Twangchokh and RDD Kargil officials, sanitation workers from various block besides this general public of both blocks were present.
The event highlighted the dedication of segregation workers and featured a pledge-taking ceremony on Swachhta, reaffirming the community's commitment to cleanliness and felicitation of sanitation workers and distribution of dust bins and flagging off of door-to-door collection vehicles
To appreciate works of sanitation workers a cash reward of Rs 1,000 was announced and handed over to every sanitation worker operating in different blocks of district
The Deputy Commissioner announced that the Kargil administration will bear the premium for the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana (PMJJBY) for all segregation workers in the district. This move provides financial security and support to the workers, acknowledging the crucial role they play in maintaining public health.
