DLSA Kargil organizes cleanliness drive at District Court Complex

Kargil, October 02 (Scoop News)-In compliance with High Court Order No. 1431 of 2024/RG/ GS Dated 19/09/2024, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kargil today organized a cleanliness drive of the District Court Complex, Kargil and of the neighbouring areas, under the national campaign on "Swachhata Hi Sewa-2024" on the occasion of Swachh Bharat Diwas.

The event was attended by Wangial Tsering Chief Judicial Magistrate Kargil, Chemit Yurgyal Secretary, DLSA Kargil, Bar Members, Panel Lawyers, LADC members, Staff of the District Court Kargil, PLV's, students from Govt. Boys Higher Secondary, School Baroo Kargil and MC Kargil sanitation workers.

The event began with the Swachhata Pledge in which all the participants pledged to spare two hours per week to voluntarily work for Cleanliness and also pledged that they shall neither litter not let others litter.

Then, the participants cleaned District Court Complex at Kargil and then cleanliness drive was carried in the neighbouring areas till the Iqbal Bridge.

Secretary, DLSA Kargil during the cleanliness drive requested the general public on the streets to maintain cleanliness of surroundings and to make the best use of the Municipal Committee Kargil waste collection vehicle, so that the waste is converted into useful products by way of recycling.

The students carried placards with slogans such as "Clean Kargil," "Green Kargil," "Say No to Plastics," and "Save Water, Save Future." They also chanted slogans throughout the drive to promote the message of the national campaign "Swachhata Hi Sewa - 2024."

Both the TLSC's at Drass and Zanskar also celebrated the occasion by organizing the cleanliness drive along with an awareness campaign. TLSC Zanskar Chairman Deldan Angmo along with Bar members, staff and PLV's carried out the cleanliness drive of the Munsiff Court Complex at Padum Zanskar and of the Surrounding areas.

TLSC Drass Chairman Sadiq Ali Wazir along with the staff members, PLV's and members of the Rural Education Development Organisation (NGO), also celebrated the occasion by organizing a cleanliness drive of the Munsiff Court Complex at Drass and of the Surrounding areas specially of the streams flowing besides the national highway.
