The local community actively participated in the event. Garbage collection vehicle was flagged off and dustbins were distributed to villagers of Panchayat Nyoma, reinforcing the commitment to a cleaner environment and healthier living standards for all.

Nubra, October 2, 2024: During the culmination ceremony of 'Swachhata Hi Sewa' campaign Shri. Ghulam Mehdi Hon'ble Executive Councillor (Minority affairs & Forest) inaugurated SRMC Turtuk in presence of Assistant Commissioner Development Leh Shri A G Zargar.
The event saw participation of Former Sarpanchs, village heads, locals & officials of Rural Development Department. Besides creating awareness about Swachh Bharat Mission, garbage collection vehicle was also flagged off during the occasion.
