MP Ladakh Mohmad Haneefa Jan addresses public grievances during three-day tour to Zanskar Sub-Division

Kargil, October 21 (Scoop News)- During his three-day intensive tour to Zanskar Sub-Division, Member of Parliament, Ladakh Mohmad Haneefa Jan visited Lungnak Block on Sunday and addressed the grievances of the public.

He also visited Sundu, Zanskar, to assess the boundary issue between Ladakh UT and Himachal Pradesh. He assured the public of Zanskar that the matter would be taken up with higher authorities and urged both the public and the governments of both sides to refrain from any activities until the boundary is officially decided.

The visitors also observed that no officers or officials were present at Shinkula Top, where a traveler's hut has been established by the Himachal Pradesh government on the macadam road constructed by the BRO.

During the tour public delegations at Pipcha, Raru, Monay Gonpa, Icher, Surlay, Yal, Testa, Kuru, Sking Kargaik, Tangzay, Marling, Cha etc. also met the MP.

Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil, Er. Punchok Tashi inaugurated D'Julle Caffe and restaurant at Singkula Top and Public Park at Raru.

Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil, Er. Punchok Tashi, Councilor Cha Constituency, Stanzin Lakpa, Nominated Councilor, Punchok Namgil, ADC Kargil, Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Wani, former EC Stanzin Sonam, president ZBA, ZGA, Lumbardars and publics of Lungnak Block, District and Sub-Divisional Officers accompanied the MP Ladakh.

The delegation submitted a memorandum highlighting their issues and grievances, which included fundamental problems such as education, healthcare, and the need for drinking and irrigation canals.

While addressing the public, the Councilor welcomed the MP, thanking him for visiting their area for the first time since being elected as MP Ladakh.

The Executive Councilor (EC) also informed the public about various projects sanctioned by the LAHDC, Kargil, in favor of the Zanskar Sub-Division and congratulated them on the approved initiatives.

The Member of Parliament assured the public that their demands would be addressed one by one on a priority basis. He also expressed his gratitude for their support during the parliamentary election.

He also assured the public that he would work for the entire Ladakh region during his tenure, focusing on the development and welfare of UT Ladakh. During his visit, he inaugurated the 2.5 km upgraded black-topped link road in Pidmo village before departing for Leh via the Nimo-Padum-Darcha (NPD) road.
