| LAHDC Kargil Members meet with New Districts Committee, Ladakh | |
Kargil, November 05 (Scoop News)-Members of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, today met with the New Districts Committee, Ladakh, to discuss the formation of new districts in the region.
The committee, led by Chairman Shri Pramod Kumar Jain, included Shri Kacho Asfandyar Khan, Shri Tsering Angchok, and the Deputy Commissioner/CEO of LAHDC Kargil, Shri Shrikant Balasaheb Suse.
Representing LAHDC Kargil were Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, Executive Councillor, Kacho Mohd Feroz, and all other elected and nominated Councillors.
During the meeting, LAHDC Councillors shared their perspectives individually and submitted their written representations to the committee. The committee members attentively listened and assured the Councillors that their concerns and suggestions would be thoughtfully considered.
Additionally, the Member of Parliament from Ladakh, Mohammad Haneefa Jan, also met with the New Districts Committee to discuss the matter.
He suggested that peoples aspirations should be kept in mind and traditional peace, harmony and brotherhood must be strengthened. He also stressed for upgradation of health, higher education and other types of infrastructure on priority in the new districts as well as in the existing Subdivisions, in relaxation of population norms.
