Police attaches property worth ₹50 Lakhs of notorious drug peddler in Anantnag

Srinagar, November 09 (Scoop News)- In a significant move against the drug trade, Police in Anantnag have attached a one-storey residential house and a shop valued at ₹50 lakhs, belonging to a notorious drug peddler Shabroz Ahmad Wani son of Abdul Rehman Wani resident of Nowgam Poshkeeri, Srigufwara. The action was taken under Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

The attached properties are believed to be proceeds of crime, earned through Wani’s illicit drug trafficking activities. He has been a prominent figure in the local narcotics trade, linked to substantial seizures of contraband substances, including SpasmoProxyvon and Codeine Phosphate.

This action underscores J&K Police’s commitment to dismantling drug networks and ensuring that those involved in such crimes face the full force of the law.
