| GDC Bishnah Organises Career Opportunities Event for Students | | 
Bishnahm,November 19 (Scoop News)- The Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) of Govt Degree College, Bishnah, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a special event aimed at career opportunities for empowering students and raising awareness on critical health issues.
The event, titled Career opportunities for students, Empowering Education & Promoting Women's Hygiene Awareness, was marked by presentation of a laptop to Sunil Kumar, a bright student with locomotor disability, and an insightful lecture by Dr. Preeti Kashyap, Managing Director of JMD Herbal Extractions who is committed to supporting the education of underprivileged and differently-abled students. Dr. Kashyap has numerous accolades to her credit, Best Women Entrepreneur Award (J&K), 2019 being one of them.
Dr. Kashyap delivered an insightful lecture on Career Opportunities for students as Entrepreneurs. She also addressed in detail Women’s Hygiene, focusing on essential topics such as menstrual health, personal hygiene, and overall well-being. She is a expert in the field of herbal medicine, emphasized the importance of proper health management for women, aiming to create a more informed and health-conscious community at the college.
The event was organized under the aegis of the IIC and IQAC, with active participation from the college faculty and Students. Dr. Shallu Samyal, Principal of Government Degree College, Bishnah, expressed her support for such initiatives, recognizing the profound impact of combining education with health awareness.
In her inaugural remarks, Dr. Samyal highlighted the significance of the event, and said that Dr. Kashyap’s presence underscored a welcome relationship between education and community support. She appreciated her gesture in providing a laptop to Sunil Kumar and said that it reflected her strong belief in empowering individuals to achieve their academic and professional goals.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Kusum, Faculty Member and Startup Activity Coordinator. Prof. Shrotika Rajput, Innovation Activity Coordinator, conducted the proceedings and Dr. Geeta Lakhotra, Internship Activity Coordinator, IIC delivered the vote of thanks.
