| NMC appealed to LG and CM to release the pending installments of 3% DA | |
Jammu, November19 (Scoop News)-National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) president, Subash Shastri has appealed to J&K Lieutenant Governor and Chief Minister to release the pending installments of 3% DA due from July this year in favour of J&K Government employees and pensioners as the same has been released by the Central as well as several State Governments including Ladakh to their employees and pensioners.
Shastri told reporters here today that DA is part of salary and routine financial matter and as such there should be no hitch in releasing it.
“The Government should release this at the earliest so that the employees and pensioners would heave a sigh of relief from the rising prices of essential commodities,” he maintained adding that DA should be exempted from the ambit of Income Tax as it is linked with price index.
Shastri urged upon PM Modi to appoint chairman and other members of the 8th Pay Commission and take a decision in this regard at the earliest and start discussion with representatives of both Central and State Government employees and pensioners as appointment of 8th Pay Commission will end confusion and uncertainty among employees and pensioners on this issue once for all.
He also demanded separate wage head for regularly disbursement of monthly salary to daily rated workers till their regularization, enhancement of their wages to Rs. 600 per day, regularization of their services, clearance of all pending GP fund cases and gratuity, setting up of Labour Welfare Board, implementation of all Central Laws in J&K besides granting Medical Allowance of Rs. 1000 per month to pensioners at par with their counterparts in Central Government.
Immediate implementation of CAT direction of pay anamolies of clerical staff* Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Ramesh Sharma,Ram Singh, Raman Sharma, Ex Sarpanch Sukhdev Singh, Darshan Baba, Chaman lal , Vinod kumar , Birbal Sharma and others were also present on the occasion.
