Government has sanction addtional posts of 142 to SNM and 103 Post of Medical College at Leh


Leh, November 27 (Scoop News)- Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Government of India, led by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, for approving the creation of 142 additional posts and the expansion of the 200-bedded SNM Hospital in Leh to a 350-bedded facility. He also thanked the Prime Minister for sanctioning 103 posts for the establishment of a new medical college at Spituk Farka.

The Hon’ble CEC further extended his appreciation to the Union Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah, the Union Finance Minister, and the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra Ji, for their efforts in facilitating these approvals. He highlighted their crucial role in the upgradation of SNM Hospital to a 350-bedded facility and the establishment of the medical college.

The Hon’ble CEC noted that SNM Hospital has long been facing increased patient loads and manpower shortages. He described the strengthening of the hospital as a much-needed development and welcomed the news as a significant step forward for the people of Ladakh. He emphasized that the establishment of the medical college and the sanctioning of additional posts would not only enhance healthcare facilities in the region but also create valuable employment opportunities for Ladakh's youth.
